Behind every elephant is a story that deserves to be seen.
I started the New Year at Elephant Nature Park in northern Thailand, spending a week volunteering and caring for rescued elephants. As the first ethical elephant sanctuary established in Asia, the park provides a safe and caring home for elephants rescued from street begging, riding camps, and circus shows.
Today, blind, orphaned, and senior elephants live here in peace, where they are loved and respected. Grateful to have witnessed this up close.
