Nepal

Hinduism and Buddhism coexist here in a way that’s visible everywhere.

While traveling through Nepal, we saved our last days for Kathmandu and Bhaktapur — places that quickly became some of my favourite photo moments. Bhaktapur is an ancient royal city full of temples, red-brick buildings and narrow streets. I woke up early to photograph and film the city while it was still quiet, with only a few locals starting their day.

In Kathmandu, we started our morning at 6 AM, witnessing the monks during their morning prayers. Later, I photographed around the great stupa — the smoke, soft sunlight and daily rituals creating a beautiful scene. Capturing the visible blend of Hinduism and Buddhism was a beautiful part of being there.
