Iceland

The land of fire and ice — extreme contrasts, glaciers, geysers and volcanic terrain.

In February 2023, during winter, I travelled around Iceland for a month. A beautiful country full of diverse landscapes. The first two weeks I was on the road with the travel photography organization Travelmarks Photography to scout for a new photography trip. We went with a custom-made super jeep to a natural ice cave and hiked on the glacier outlet of Vatnajökull, the second largest glacier in Europe.

Other places we visited: Skógafoss, Kirkjufell Mountain, Sólheimasandur, Ingjaldshólskirkja church and Svörtuloft Lighthouse. For the last few weeks I travelled around the Snæfellsnes peninsula. We arrived in cold snow storms and I left with sunny days — ‘early spring’, as the locals called it.
